What products can be sold in the community?
Art only. Unique works of art, or limited edition art.
Are the works submitted for sale moderated?
Yes. The administration moderates the works that are then made publicly available. This is done to check compliance with community rules, legislation, check the availability of necessary information, and maintain the quality of works in the community.
What does it take to become a seller?
The artist needs to fill out a registration form, which will be used to conduct an initial check of the future seller. This is done to weed out obvious scammers. There is also a separate access for artists in the community, and it is the artists who, through votes, suggestions and ideas, will decide how the community will develop. For artists from Ukraine, there is additional access, a separate section and a chat in Ukrainian.
Is the community moderated?
Yes. Rules like in any community. We have rules that each participant agrees to when joining the community. Respect each other, do not spam, do not do things prohibited by law. Fraudsters, scammers are removed from the community without warning. Follow the rules described in the security section and you will be safe.
Limitation?
Anyone can use our platform. Persons over 18 years of age can buy and sell. If a person is under 18 years of age, they can be represented by legal representatives. There is also a limit on the minimum cost of the work for sale - 100 USD.
What is the cost of participation?
The cost of participating in the community is free. You pay only a small commission - 10% of the community administration only when you buy art, and the costs associated with shipping and customs. In this way, you support the normal administration of the community. If you do not buy, you have no expenses. The seller has no expenses, all expenses are covered by the buyer. In return, the artist receives community support, promotion, public sales, and a bunch of bonuses provided by the community.
How is this better than art sales platforms?
If we compare it with platforms like Artfinder or Saatchi, the main advantage is a small commission. Only you decide how much you get for your work, without additional discounts and commissions. Also, the author sends the works only after receiving the full cost of his work to his own account.
But it is not correct to compare the community with such platforms, because the community has many advantages and useful features, while the platforms are aimed only at buying and selling.
It is also worth noting that the community administration does not act as a guarantor, as large platforms do. That is, the community is a meeting place for the seller and the buyer, who agree on the purchase and sale. The community administration is not responsible for the transactions.
